Welcome meeting planners!I know your job can be difficult so I'm really easy to work with. Just call me, describe your needs and situation, and we'll do our best to make your event a success. A great way to use me is as the closing speaker after a content-rich conference. For example, I recently was the closing speaker for a 2-day conference for fire chiefs. The attendees' brains were already stuffed full of information. I talked about "The Bigger Picture." so they could integrate what they learned about being great at their work with how to be great at their lives. This model would work well for any type of high-content conference - accounting, engineering, law, health care, teaching - you name it. I can also give a keynote or closing talk to a general session,
lead a workshop or speak after a lunchtime meal. Fifty percent
of my raving fans are men, so my message connects strongly to both
men and women. |
Brief Description
Stress levels are rising at businesses everywhere but it’s especially
stressful for working parents. They are working hard to “do more
with less” at work and, at the same time, raise good kids at home.
This message is not just for working parents - it's also for those who
hire, work with, sell to or buy from working parents. In other words,
everyone!
The popular prescription is work-life "balance.” Forget it. It’s the wrong goal. Instead, hear Ms. Nichols' solution so employees and business owners will have less guilt, worry and stress, and experience more focus, happiness and productivity. This translates to increased personal happiness and corporate profits. That's SUCCESS!
Ms. Nichols speaks from credibility. She was the sales columnist for BusinessWeek.com for 6 years, was a long-time sales professional and has owned four of her own companies. In 1998, her 8 1/2-year old son, Mark, died suddenly from brain cancer. She understands what's really at stake in work-life issues. She delivers her message with original stories, insight and humor. Come listen, laugh and learn.
Target Audience
Professional working parents - engineers, salespeople, nurses, lawyers, doctors, accountants, administrators, managers, executives - who have children living at home. Also human resources professionals responsible for the retention and attraction of key employees who have children living at home.
This message is for mothers, fathers, stepparents, grandparents - and employers.
