2008 National Hug Your Kids Day Events

National Hug Your Kids Day was a HUGE success!

National Hug your Kids Day celebrations included 135 digital billboards in 17 major cities across the U.S. (donated by Clear Channel Outdoor), 8 "Citymoms" contests in Gannet newspapers, announcement of the holiday on 3 Major League Baseball Jumbotrons, 2 special events and a book launch.

We received proclamations from Washington DC - Senator Harry Reid, Congressman Dean Heller and Senator John Ensign; from Carson City - from Governor Jim Gibbons; and from the Reno City Council, Sparks City Council, and the Washoe County Commissioners. Wow!

We were featured on all the local TV stations - ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, and Fox in Houston. There were many print and Internet articles written about the holiday.
