Drew, a former Reno High baseball star, has recovered from a traumatic brain injury he received in 2008.

He and his parents spoke about the importance - and privilege - of hugging your family.

SCHEDULE

5:30 PM - Check-in for performers and families with vouchers

5:45 PM – HUG YOUR KIDS NIGHT EVENT STARTS!

Families will gather on the plaza in front of the new Aces stadium for a fun, free family-oriented event, including free ice cream from Model Dairy, the Hug High cheerleaders ("Go Hugs!,) Dr. Heath Morrison (new WCSD Superintendent,) Drew Simpson and his parents, youth singers - and more!

6:20 PM – Biggest Little Hug Photo Shoot

Hundreds of families will gather to hug their kids for a photo shoot. This is not a group hug, it's parents hugging their kids and adults hugging each other.

6:30 - FREE EVENT CONCLUDES

Families are encouraged to buy tickets to see the Hug Your Kids Night game: Reno Aces vs. the Portland Beavers. General Admission tickets start at $6 - $7 each.

7:05 PM – Hug Your Kids Night at the Reno Aces Game

Drew Simpson will throw out the first ball. The night will have lots of Hug Your Kids- themed fun, including a "7th inning hug."

7:00 PM - Families can attend the FREE Artown Family Series "Babe" by Theatre Works at Wingfield Park. www.renoisartown.com
